Cypak and auSystems present new system for fast and secure online identification![]() The award winning technology innovator Cypak has developed a new and simplified technology for secure identification on the Internet. The product is called Cypak LoginKey and has the form of a USB-memory with an integrated button. It identifies the user, from any computer platform within seconds and without any need for installing client software. In co-operation with auSystems, leading IT-security and system integrator, the company presents a new complete system for secure login to networks and Internet services. For authentication with Cypak LoginKey, the user inserts the device in the USB-port, presses the integrated button on the device, which then generates an encrypted one time pass code. In combination with a PIN or password the solution provides two factor authentication with a high level of security. As opposed to traditional authentication devices, used for e-banking etc., the user does not need to type in a long pass code from the device to the computer; this is done immediately and automatically with only one key-stroke. As the LoginKey simulates a USB-keyboard, which is accepted as standard on all common computer platforms, no extra software drivers need to be installed. The user can easily and conveniently move the device between different computers and browsers, including Mac, PC, Firefox, Linux etc. In co-operation with the IT-consultant company auSystems, Cypak has developed a solution for secure access via Radius, for example VPN. Support for LoginKey will also be available in auSystems authentication server auTSS. auTSS supports currently electronic ID from Swedish BankID, Telia and Nordea and is used by several Swedish banks and authorities. -Cypak LoginKey is a simple, fast and secure login technology that we see as an interesting complement to our existing products and services, says Tomas Rimming, CTO auSystems. The solution is also verified by security experts at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, whose IT-security department today tests the solution for accessA to the university's network. Cypak, auSystems and KTH have started a reference group for the joint testing and development of new applications for the new security solution. One company using the system for access to a web service is Apica System, providing a portal for measuring accessibility and performance on websites. In this case the LoginKey is pre-programmed for automatic navigation to the service and identification of the user - all in one single key stroke. -As our customers log on to our service several times a day, we needed a solution that was both fast and secure. Cypak LoginKey fulfilled our requirements, says Sven Hammar, CEO Apica System. Other customers currently testing and evaluating Cypak LoginKey include international internet banks and e-gaming companies.
