Cypak wins first orders for new medication monitor.

Cypak has won the first orders for the new Advanced Medication Monitor built around the CPK081 ASIC. The flexibility of the new platform to manage diverse therapies proved decisive.

In one project Cypak will be supplying modules to a leading pharmaceutical company for trials to determine how medication monitoring can be optimally deployed for high volume markets. The low cost and scaleability of Cypak based solutions are expected to provide solutions in a variety of situations and for a variety of medications.

In a second project, the CPK081 will be deployed to help coach patients in the early stages of diabetes II. Early stage diabetes is a complex condition which often requires patients to lose weight, take medication to stimulate their own insulin production, and monitor their blood glucose levels regularly. Data is fed to a service center which can highlight problems and plan interventions tailored to the individual patient.

The third order is for a local health care provider looking for a solution to help manage patient adherence and persistence on personal dosing. The monitor will record dosage events and collect patient feedback.
