Electronic modules and sensors

Cypak customers often prefer a standard Cypak Electronic Module (CEM).

The CEM081 shown in the top bar has a battery and a reminder buzzer. Small and flat, it is designed to be securely embedded in a carded blister pack of medication.

The CEM connects to external sensors and communicates to readers using a choice of wireless protocols.  The design is appropriate for the connection of up to 32 digital sensors.  The CEM is flexible and can be mounted on a variety of substrates, including paperboard and plastic.

Few external components are required, enabling custom designs to be made quickly and reliably to serve different applications economically..

Core CPK082 ASIC

The CEM is built around the Cypak ASIC (CPK082) used in many Cypak powered applications.

The ASIC ensures high reliability, low power consumption, and a small footprint.

A CEM is available as a standard product  with embedded software for medication monitoring..
Module development is continual, with different versions available for different applications and to meet customer requirements.  The CEM083 was, for example, released in 2009 for NFC communications.
